Zoysia x Meyer

Meyer zoysia, also called Z-52 or Amazoy, is an improved selection of Zoysia japonica released in 1951.

Meyer has a deep green color, medium leaf texture, and spreads much faster than other
varieties although it produces few rhizomes. Meyer makes an excellent lawn once established.

Meyer is less shade tolerant than Emerald but is the most cold tolerant zoysiagrass. Hunting billbugs and nematodes are potential problems with Meyer.

Meyer is the zoysiagrass often advertised as the "miracle" grass in newspapers and magazines.
