| Developed by McCarthy-Burlingham Research Farm. Source - Selections were made from old-turf plots in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Oregon. Method of Breeding - Cycles of recurrent selections crossed with top-performing selections derived from Pennant to produce a synthetic polycross variety. Intended Use - Turf, overseeding of dormant bermudagrass in southern areas. Description - Very dark green, attractive, endophyte-enhanced turf. Low-growing and requiring less mowing than many other cultivars. Resistant to leaf spot. Has good mowing characteristics, and responds quickly to fertilizer and irrigation. Adapted to - PHZ 7, 8, 9, 10 and overseeding in 11 - cool-season climates. Breeder Seed/Stock - McCarthy-Burlingham Research. Certified Seed/Stock - Available in 1995.
